Choice to Change - Facilitator

Mountain, ND

Part time/Fill-in contract (approx. 3–9 hrs/month)

We are hiring a facilitator for our Tuesday evening Choice to Change men’s non-violence program! This position is based out of Mountain, ND and serves Cavalier, Pembina, and Walsh Counties. If you have a few hours a week to spare and want to make a difference in someone’s life, then consider joining our Choice to Change team. For more information on this program, click here.

We welcome applicants with backgrounds in education, counseling, healthcare, social work, or related fields—preferred but not required. Candidates must be willing to complete a comprehensive 3‑day facilitator training.

This program supports meaningful change, teaches about power and control, and works toward ending violence against women.

Advocate (Full Time)

The Domestic Violence & Abuse Center, Inc. (DVAC) is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and mission‑driven Advocate to join our team. Advocates provide resiliancy-centered support to individuals experiencing domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and human trafficking. This role is essential to helping survivors find safety, stability, and empowerment.

Position Overview

Advocates deliver crisis intervention, emotional support, safety planning, resource navigation, and advocacy across multiple systems including medical, legal, and community partners. Flexibility is essential, as program needs may require occasional evening, weekend, or on‑call coverage.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or higher

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Must pass a background check

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with diverse populations

  • Strong communication skills and a trauma‑informed approach

  • Must be flexible and available as program needs dictate

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in domestic violence services, direct service advocacy, or crisis intervention

  • Two‑year degree in human services or a related field

  • Knowledge of community resources and survivor‑centered practices
